Heathenization

On the way to work I listened to the local National Public Radio (NPR) affliate, 90.1-FM WUJF in Inverness, Forida.  This morning they aired three consecutive segments as follows.  First came a hectoring public service announcement advising that children must never be spanked.  Second came a lengthy and lauditory feature about a Moslem youngster on an American high school football team who is fasting for Ramadan.  Third was NPR’s StoryCorps featuring a grandfather who abandoned his wife and children in pursuit of a homosexual lifestyle and in whose footsteps his teen-age grandson is now following.

People as far to the left as those at NPR are mixed up in a singular way.  On one level, they understand perfectly well that the public is against this kind of thing.  Any person of reasonable intelligence knows there are times when small children do need to have their pants dusted off.  Conservative America (and, really, most of mainstream America) doesn’t want to be Moslem, certainly doesn’t want to be homosexual and divorced, and sure doesn’t want to be passing along these sins across multiple generations.

But on another level, I’m convinced that the far left really doesn’t get it when it comes to comprehending why much of conservative America wants mannerly children and a nominally Christian society with enduring marriages free from sexual perversion.  To the leftists at NPR, such beliefs can arise from nothing but sheer bigotry of the most depraved and inexcusable sort.  This bigotry ought to be confronted, needled at every opportunity, belittled, taxed to finance its opposition, and ultimately overthrown by the infallible savants on the left.

One enduring legacy of the failure of conservatives to govern effectively when they had the chance is the ongoing, tax-supported, anti-Christian snobfest that is National Public Radio.  This is truly the lowest of the low-hanging fruit for conservative governance since very few people would pay their own money to broadcast garbage like this.  A handful of haters at NPR is certainly willing to spend tax money for it, though.  The failure of the Republican Party to cut off tax funding for poison like this explains why the voting public can’t quite see how conservative constitutional rule would be any better than the Marxism they’re getting from the Obama administration.
