Wellinghoff finally getting challenged

I noted recently that FERC chairman Jon Wellinghoff had made a stunningly ignorant comment about America never needing baseload power plants again.  Republican lawmakers are finally asking him to explain himself.  It needs to be repeated that a man who could make a comment like this knows too little about the power business to be qualified as FERC chairman.  It’s like having a shaman as surgeon general.  The country deserves a better FERC chairman, one who at least understands something about electricity, and sooner is better.
